Universe and The Citizen

Universe and The Citizen is an electronic pop and EDM record producer born in Bucharest, Romania. At the age of fifteen he got an electric guitar as a present from his mother after she noticed that he was heavily into Rock Music and he was always getting injured from skateboarding. After he attended The Rolling Stones, A Bigger Bang Tour in the same year he decided to pursue music as a full time activity and 2 years later he started travelling. When he was in London he got introduced to Record Producer and Songwriter, Richie Stevens, founding member of Gorillaz associated act, the Spacemonkeyz, which mentored him for the year to come. Notable influences for defining his style in what was a very emotional time due to battling personal issues were “Journals” by Justin Bieber which he felt that it was sincere and heartfelt and “Torches” by Foster The People. Later on artists such as Kygo, Flume, Martin Garrix and HAIM further on influenced the sound.
