Up Late

There are few in the Australian music scene with a more polarising baptism of fire. Introduced to Hardcore and rap at 11 - Max Pasalic (Up Late) spent his early teens uploading beats &amp; demos to Soundcloud and Youtube, collaborating with artists like <a href="spotify:artist:5v2WhpA59TJSdPh7LCx1lN" data-name="BONES">BONES</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:5aI3MnYjh7mlPBwkK1lWvG" data-name="The Virus and Antidote">The Virus and Antidote</a>. Balancing a stacked touring schedule, production sessions and high-school studies by 17, he turned his attention to his own vocal abilities, finding break out success on Triple J with his band <a href="spotify:artist:3sdNmsVRpXwV9G1OHULjua" data-name="After Touch">After Touch</a> and signing to UNFD.

In 2020 Pasalic brought together his emo rock &amp; rap background to Up Late. He found early support from Triple J, Life Without Andy and Pilerats - who would call him ‘2020’s break-out’. Straddling the lines between artists like, <a href="spotify:artist:7FngGIEGgN3Iwauw1MvO4P" data-name="nothing,nowhere.">nothing,nowhere.</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:0WvTK38rXqPCD5pZMDuX20" data-name="Oliver Francis">Oliver Francis</a> - Up Late released his debut ep <a href="spotify:album:1Iuax6rIKBH3mNaLNvHOwU" data-name="STARS">STARS</a> co-written with Nat J. Sherwood, featuring collaborations with <a href="spotify:artist:0DlvlPWYR10nLdwQgQn9cp" data-name="Moonbase">Moonbase</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:1YCiY4ncBoIUPTpeKTCuzu" data-name="Hearteyes">Hearteyes</a>

In 2021 he sunk his teeth into <a href="spotify:artist:7bpJe59fkklnlfHPxCMvF1" data-name="Void Of Vision">Void Of Vision</a>&#39;s <a href="spotify:track:557Dv8j6N2h9mpciQuX6QU" data-name="Hyperdaze - Up Late Remix">Hyperdaze - Up Late Remix</a>, remixing the song alongside Sherwood before releasing his own <a href="spotify:album:6P5tgYEzco2mvP2zLZ817M" data-name="YOU PEAKED IN HIGH SCHOOL!">YOU PEAKED IN HIGH SCHOOL!</a> Soon after Melbourne e-sports juggernauts, Fortress approached Up Late to pen their theme song, <a href="spotify:album:1dzQQol2MouhQAvdyKrZmJ" data-name="TIDAL WAVE (Fortress Theme)">TIDAL WAVE (Fortress Theme)</a> together with Sherwood.

Now Up Late presents TOTAL FUCKING DARKNESS! - his sophomore EP that spins hyperpop, rap &amp; metal into a frantic six track that is equal parts glistening &amp; devastating.
