Urs Ruf,
is a Dutch musician, living in Germany for over twenty-five years.
Since the age of 16 he always have been writing songs and playing guitar for the several bands and projects he was involved in.
The first band he was the lead singer of, was the in 1998 founded jazz-rock band Station-Five, which played various styles of jazz- and blues-rock. The best-known songs were “Live is just a Fairytale” and “Baby Sweet Baby”
After a break Urs was one of the initiators of starting a new musical project in Germany with the in 2016 new founded band Maennerecke.
As the singing is one of musicians’ strong tools, Urs started to write and record singer songwriter songs for his own bass timbered voice.
The first solo online release is the song “Zusammen Wir” as being a tribute to his wife, for beeing together with him for over 25 years, in good as in bad times. The release early 2020 of the song " Fridays for Future " was a tribute to his youngest ten-year-old daughter
The song “Dutch for a Day” summer 2020, tells a small story about a young bloke visiting Amsterdam. You can imagine it was a rough time.
Now Authum 2021 the song "Heaven Can Wait " just released, turned out to be a bit biographic, though the main thing to realise that: "Heaven Can Wait, cause I've got so much left on my wishlist"
So stay tuned, there’s more coming up, sincerely yours
