Valeria was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the US at age two. Her musical journey has been influenced by the sounds & rhythms of the folk songs she grew up hearing from both cultures. She began performing as part of The Stewart Sisters band with her sister in law. In 2017 they published a CD, Another Place & Time. In 2018, Valeria began a collaboration with singer songwriter Kathleen Huber as the duo Luna. By the Fall of 2020 they went on to co-write several Mid-Atlantic Song Contest awarded songs, win an Arlington Arts grant, and publish an EP, <a href="spotify:album:5z12HlrpxGiruS2NcagiX5" data-name="The Alchemist's Journey">The Alchemist's Journey</a>, before the partnership culminated in Kathleen’s move up north. Singer-Songwriter Kevin Dudley performed and recorded with Luna. He and Valeria began a collaboration in 2021, called <a href="spotify:artist:4EWuaH7gh6zHkBGVPtYBxZ" data-name="Crooked Sparrow">Crooked Sparrow</a>, with Jenny Smith on fiddle.
On September 5th 2025 Valeria debuted an all Spanish solo record, Raíces | Roots, which has reached #1 on the RMR World Chart
