It was during the dark days of 2020 lockdown when Manchester based art-rock
quartet Valetta discovered the psychedelic, cinematic sound exhibited on debut single <a href="spotify:track:7D7bnb9iKFauJYBq4Gk4vu" data-name="Irregular Low">Irregular Low</a>. The following releases that would form the backbone of debut EP <a href="spotify:album:07U5QU8pa7iteeuItHYaN1" data-name="Your Future in an Email">Your Future in an Email</a> received frequent airplay on BBC Introducing and saw the band
named The Unsigned Guide’s Spotlight artist for October 2021.
Valetta have now announced their second EP God Lives Underground which sees the
band explore new sonic territory and grander lyrical themes, drawing influence from <a href="spotify:artist:1HOeqtP7tHkKNJNLzQ2tnr" data-name="Everything Everything">Everything Everything</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4Z8W4fKeB5YxbusRsdQVPb" data-name="Radiohead">Radiohead</a> and even Aussie psych-rock favourites <a href="spotify:artist:6XYvaoDGE0VmRt83Jss9Sn" data-name="King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard">King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard</a>.
Valetta will launch God Lives Underground at Off The Cuff, London, on the 17th August, and Gullivers, Manchester on 31st August.
