Tushar Singh, artistically known as Valla discovered his love for music at an early age. With roots in classical Indian singing and a childhood filled with cultural performances, music was always present in his life, even if it didn’t initially seem like a career path. Coming from a family of engineers and government employees, the idea of pursuing music professionally felt unconventional.
During his teenage years, Valla drifted away from classical training and immersed himself in the sounds of Western music. Influenced by the raw intensity of EDM and artists like Skrillex, The Chainsmokers, Flume etc., as well as the emotional pull of pop icons such as Enrique Iglesias, Justin Bieber & Post Malone, he began shaping his identity as both a fan and creator. A turning point came when he discovered the behind-the-scenes process of music production, realizing that a laptop could be a canvas for boundless creativity.
Choosing passion over tradition, he left his studies behind to dive headfirst into music production. His time at Mumbai’s True School of Music expanded his vision, teaching him to see beyond genres and harness technology as a tool for pure expression. Today, after years of honing his craft, Valla channels his experiences, emotions, and rebellious spirit into his music where raw energy meets vulnerability and every track tells an honest story of who he is.
