The band began in 2012-13, when Jason Thomson left his previous band of 13 years (sometimes why), where he was the drummer and lead vocalist. Wanting to branch off and attempt something sonically different & play more of the melodic instruments (guitars, bass, and synths). He one-man-banded the debut album 'Goodnight Myopia'.

Though pleased with the end result, He missed the camaraderie and broader input that comes from a band. Shortly after the release, he ended up meeting John Agee (Sundiver). They had discovered each other's bands recently. The conversation turned to possible collaboration between Thomson, Agee & Joseph Wells, Sundiver's lead guitarist. Shortly after, recording the album 'Little Creatures' (Fall 2014) together.

They met up again and travelled to Chicago in the summer of 2016 to record the album 'Diner Music' with Allen Epley & Eric Abert ( Shiner & The Life and Times). They recruited drummer Chris Metcalf (The Life and Times) for the record.

For their 2020 release 'Paper Crown Parade' they decided to challenge themselves. They switched from long-time producers Epley & Abert, & recorded with Jordon Zadorozny (Blinker the Star) in Pembroke, Ontario. They had Failure drummer, Kellii Scott record the album's drums.

Oct 6th 2023. They released their 5th album 'The What Gallery'. Again switching up the participants, including Shiner drummer Jason Gerken and Shiner bassist Paul Malinowski.
