Hi, I’m <a href="spotify:artist:5eRcaAo2f00plYlCr1qHur" data-name="Vayy">Vayy</a> — also known as <a href="spotify:artist:4HvEeMcs2btd2jUUyhKbLF" data-name="Stephanie Cecile Yavelow">Stephanie Cecile Yavelow</a>.
Music is how I process the chaos and beauty of being human. With intimate vocals and cinematic soundscapes, I write for the deep feelers, the overthinkers, the ones who don’t quite fit in. Mostly, for those who carry quiet storms inside them.
I’m a Swiss-American artist who has spent my professional life between the Netherlands and Los Angeles. Though I’ve recorded in legendary studios like Capitol Records, some of my favorite work still happens late at night, alone in my home studio.
Thanks to an inspiring collaboration with producer <a href="spotify:artist:26FDqH3d0sa3DumJfGTHXZ" data-name="Mawk Phoenix">Mawk Phoenix</a> (Norah Jones, Peter Gabriel, Nelly Furtado), my voice has found its way into shows like Cable Girls and As the Crow Flies (Netflix), UFC (ESPN), and the game Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong.
If my songs feel like home for even a moment, I’ve done what I came here to do.
