Born as Valencia Aoleon Mandrell, age 22.Jacksonville artist Vee Took to songwriting around the age 11. Writing her first song with a group of friends. Forming a group with two female friends at age 12, she then started to take songwriting more serious. Spending time rehearsing and writing covers to her favorite songs Vee knew she was destined for music.
“I sleep,eat, and breathe music. I can’t live without it not even for a day.”


Drawing inspiration from some of her favorite artists like ‘Chris brown, August Alsina, Ciara, Logic’, along with a few others She begin working with beats.
“Like everyone was telling me you need to get in the studio and I’m just like I don’t know the first thing about it. Plus my songs don’t have beats. So I started to look up type beats and went from there.”
Taking the advice from others Vee buckled down and got in the studio.
“The first time I got in the studio it was nerve racking , but that same day I recorded two songs. Each and every time I get in the booth it just gets better and better.”


Talks about her latest release “Lil Bill” when asked what does lil bill mean? What’s the story behind it and how did it come about? Her response was this….
“Funny story. Lil Bill is an inside joke about me being bald headed. I cut my hair top of the year into a shortcut and some days I was feeling like a bald headed little boy and that’s the “Lil Bill” reference. I turned my insecurity into a turn up song to be like ‘I’m still a bad bitch!”
