Velvet Sand

Velvet Sand is the fiercest duo to emerge in the Australian hip-hop scene. The two MC’s, Siege-A and O-G-O, were based in Byron Bay when they first discovered a mutual love for hip-hop in 2008. They are now producing music from Melbourne and continue to refine their craft together.

Their music breathes duality as Velvet Sand combines contrasting yet complimentary approaches to their field. 24-year-old MC and producer, Siege-A, draws influence from classic artists like Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Outkast. While 27-year-old MC, O-G-O, is inspired by current artists like Tech N9ne and Yelawolf. The result is music that will entertain any crowd.

To capture the vast reach of Velvet Sand’s work, they have supported Bone Thugs, Rittz, Urthboy, Four Owls, Madchild, Swollen Members, Onyx and Snak The Ripper to name some. They have also performed on side stages at renowned festivals such as Island Vibe, Splendour, and Byron Blues Fest.

Velvet Sand is the next generation of impressive performers with an aim to see through a fresh direction in Australian hip-hop.
