"Venezi" (David Veneziano) is a Hip Hop artist, producer, and acclaimed engineer with roots in Tucson and Phoenix, AZ and deep connections to Los Angeles’ music industry. Influenced early by the underground hip hop scene, Venezi started making beats at age 11, then stepped into the rap game at 15 after teaming up with his longtime collaborator, JusDorian.
Ambitious and resourceful, Venezi built his skills and catalog by connecting with artists across Arizona and California. Determined to master the technical side of music, he graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, landing a prestigious role as a layback and dialog recording engineer at Salami Studios (formerly Devonshire Studios) in North Hollywood, CA and at SoundWorks Studios in Burbank, CA. At these acclaimed studios, he worked on shows like “The Boondocks” and “Scooby Doo” and games such as “Fallout New Vegas” and “Ghost Recon Future Soldier.” The studio owners welcomed his hustle by letting him bring in artists to record after hours—an opportunity that supercharged his network in LA’s music scene.
Through these sessions, Venezi soaked up wisdom from some of hip hop's best, including Kxng Crooked, Kid Ink, E-40, Sly Boogy, Big-O (Omar Gooding), Chino XL, Tha Chill (Compton’s Most Wanted), X-Raided, Luni Coleone, Tech N9ne, and many more. Their advice and game shaped his sound, giving him a rare ear for both recording and mixing that set him apart as an engineer and artist.
