Versal

Versal is a Houston based composer, CG artist and programmer. His musical abilities were immediately noticed by his parents since the age of two, as he could hum in perfect key and tempo the opening songs of all his favorite cartoon shows before he could even speak.

By the time he was 17 Versal had mastered several instruments including piano, organ, trumpet, trombone, and guitar -both electric/classical. He became the conductor and arranger of one of the two Hand Bell Choirs in his native San Juan by the age of 19, with multiple TV and live show appearances.

Versal studied harmony, composition, orchestration and counterpoint under professor James McCoy, PhD. He has worked on several films and documentaries in multiple capacities, as editor, colorist, visual FX artist, director of photography, composer, and director. This exposure gives him a greater understanding of the arts and helps him turn concepts and ideas into musical abstractions.

As a life long dream, Versal always wanted to compose and produce an album based on his own themes and ideas, some as old as when he was six years of age (Carrousel) and continued revolving in his head since then. Due to multiple professional commitments and extensive traveling across the world, this dream has been always postponed until now. Thanks for listening.
