Raised by the tunes of The Temptations, The Isley Brothers and Michael Jackson & other classics, a young Verze found a love for music. Born at Saint Joseph Hospital in Towson, MD, recording artist Verze (Formerly known as Jay Verze) grew his musical aptitude by taking keyboard lessons and learning how to play the trumpet.
It was in his junior year of High School when he released his debut mixtape “21117 (TwoElevenSeventeen)”. It was received well by many and earned him the title as one of Baltimore’s most promising rappers in the Baltimore Sun newspaper, Washington City Post & more. In 2016, Verze officially changed his name from “Jay Verze” to just simply “Verze” as he considers himself rebirthing.
In spring 2018, Verze Released his hit single “LiveLife4Life” which now has over 10M streams world wide & landed him on a stage at SXSW 2019.
With Covid shutting down the majority of 2020, Verze is preparing for a huge year with the release of upcoming debut album “Already Written”.
