Vicar is the Irish attempt to redesign the idea of desert rock. With fuzz and synth at the helm, backed up by nursery rhyme-like vocals, Vicar creates music that is heavy enough to fight to, but sweet enough to dance to.
Influenced by Queens of the Stone Age, Biffy Clyro, and Royal Blood, their sound ranges from classic indie, to dirty blues, to goth rock, all while incorporating a melodious contemporary pop structure. Their blend of catchy lyrical hooks, chunky guitar riffs, and synthy basslines pays homage to their tastemakers while firmly retaining their own individuality.
Comprised of pop mocker Justin Flynn, octave hopper Luke Butler, and foot stomper Michael Dennehy, the trio merges their musical influences to create an entirely new sound.
