Vice Atlantic is the solo project of Dortmund-based musician Dennis Losch, who launched the project in October 2012. Originally a singer/songwriter venture, Vice Atlantic has evolved into a full-band sound crafted by Dennis alone, blending the intimacy of solo work with the expansive feel of a full ensemble.
The name "Vice Atlantic" reflects a symbolic journey across the Atlantic, representing the personal struggle against inner fears and doubts. It captures the battle with one’s own "vices" and inner demons, embodying a poetic exploration of Dennis’ own experiences. This theme is woven throughout the music, which draws influences from Emo, Punk, Nu-Metal, and Grunge of the late 90s and early 2000s. Vice Atlantic's sound is enriched with atmospheric Shoegaze elements, creating immersive and emotional sonic landscapes.
Since the release of his debut single and album in 2012, Dennis has continued to develop Vice Atlantic as an independent project. With one full album, three EPs, and numerous singles to his name, all releases have been self-produced and self-released.
Dennis, who writes all the songs and plays every instrument, performs solo during live shows, adding a personal touch to his performances. His approach to music—both in studio and on stage—reflects a deep commitment to his art.
