Hi,
I come from Sheffield, UK and am making my lifelong dream come true by finally recording my music and getting it out there! I've been playing guitar and writing songs since I was 8 years old.
I was in an acoustic duo and we did an open mic night which went really well and from there we were offered some really good gigs. However, I had stage fright and had to give up. I spent years beating myself up about it. The fire still burned in me and I became a frustrated musician! I became older and wiser and recently thought " right, come on, just do it!.. So I have.
So I recorded " A change is Gonna Come" and " Girl on Top of the Hill " at Mu Studios Sheffield , UK. Sorted a distribution company and released them. Yay!
"Dreamer" started as an experiment with my laptop studio, getting to grips with how to use it. I found myself in an almost meditative state, hours passed each time and I didn't realise! It's very new to me creating music like that rather than sitting with my guitar and writing music, a melody and lyrics....
Music I listen to myself includes the 90's Seattle sound, 70's disco, Country, Blues , Motown, Big band, Swing , electronic and anything funk!
I also get goosebumps from the richness and strength of voices like Adele and Whitney Houston and the velvety tone of Karen Carpenter.
A pretty eclectic taste really....my mood always determines the genre I listen to.
So thanks for clicking on this bio and for listening to the music :-)
