Victim Of Illusion were formed in Torino (Italy) in 2010 by Peter (guitar) and Paolo (vocals).
Among VOI's musical influences are Porcupine Tree, Tool, Massive Attack, A Perfect Circle and Radiohead, and its music incorporates elements of rock, progressive and metal.
During initial improvisation sessions the band composed about a dozen tracks, which were then developed and defined in the following months, when Luca (bass guitar) joined the band.
Since the beginning of 2011 the band focused on arranging and then recording five tracks at Peter's own studio.
On October 13, 2011 the band released the first EP “What senses blow away”, fully self-produced.
After gigging for an year, VOI started to work on the second album. The work ended with a selection of 8 songs, focusing on open sounds, rock/prog riffs and consciousness of illusion. "Oxideyes" was released on the 1st March 2014.
Danilo Saccottelli (drums) joined the band in May 2014 and they started to play in live shows in the following months.
The writing activity never stopped, and during 2015 and 2016 the band composed other 8 songs, working hard on finding new sounds and melodies but always in the same mood and with the characteristic band “signature”.
For this album, the band called the drummer Michele Santoleri, a rising star in the Italian music landscape.
On 20 June 2017, Victim Of Illusion released their third album “Invisible Light”, available on all digital platforms.
