Victor-J is an African hip-hop artist.
While growing up Victor had a passion for writing receiving awards for poetry and prose for his participation in competitions such as the National Allied Arts Competition. He would then transfer his passion for writing into music and began releasing music while part of the Cross0ver Music Group in Botswana. On moving to Cape Town he further developed his sound as a solo artist and released the projects Concrete Thoughts (2017), the Drifter EP (2018) and Every Diamond Will Shine (2019) while frequently collaborating with other artists and releasing remixes to his YouTube channel.
Victor-J aims to create music that inspires and entertains citing Bob Marley as one of his greatest inspirations while drawing artistic influences from artists such as Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar.
The emcee and producer who describes himself as "something like David with his slingshot" believes in creating music that represents the underdogs and those aspiring to swim against the current and achieve despite the obstacles they face.
