The German-Chilean Victor Rodriguez captivates listeners with his unmistakable blend of pop, reggaetón and elements of Chilean nueva canción: hard beats and catchy melodies meet fragile tones and traditional instruments such as the charango and pan flute, which make the vastness of the Andes and the history of Chile tangible.

Victor has a personal connection to the Nueva Canción movement, as his father was a spokesman for this socio-political movement who opposed the Pinochet dictatorship and eventually had to flee into exile.
In his debut album “Unidos”, Victor deals with the death of his father, allowing his father’s legacy as well as his own relationship to Chilean culture to live on through music. With the central message “Vamos Unidos”, he takes up the ideals of the Nueva Canción: Friendship, love, hope and equality.

This message is palpable in his live shows: eleven people from different backgrounds bring this atmospheric yet catchy music to life, with traditional Chilean instruments such as the charango, quena and zampoña also becoming part of the ensemble.
