Born on September 30, 1979, Vincent Chong Ying Cern aka as Vince (aka Vincent) is a Malaysian-based pop singer who first came to fame as the winner of the Malaysian television reality talent show Akademi Fantasia. He released his debut album in 2004 (entitled Janji Vince) and followed it up with another full-length (Vince) in 2005. He also released a compilation album (Percayalah Sayang) in 2007. In 2007 -- in addition to the hits release -- Chong scored a pair of roles in spinoffs from the highly successful Disney television movie High School Musical, singing Malaysian versions of songs from the soundtrack. ~ Chris True, Rovi
