Violet Choir is dreamy synthwave out of Phoenix AZ. Growing up in Bagdad (pop. 2000 mining town in the middle of the Arizona desert) Mickey Louise found solace in making mixtapes to a backdrop of John Hughs films. Meanwhile, Jesse was drumming along to Blink 182 and Megadeath CD’s. The two eventually met at a small music store and began playing together. With previous musical efforts gaining accolades from the likes of CMJ, the Guardian, and Consequence of Sound, as well as garnering TV spots on shows including The Twilight Zone, 13 Reasons Why, Shameless, Vampire Diaries, Search Party, and others... the duo wanted to explore some new territory. A wistful, punchy, and dreamily melancholic sound emerged. Violet Choir resides at the crossroads of where New Wave meets Italo Disco. Friend Song, their debut single is out now. Full EP coming Feb 2021 on Fervor Records.
