Vocalist/rhythm guitarist David Gonzalez met Bassist Caleahl Callahan at the age of 13 years old where they both attended, Woodland middle school. Their friendship sparked when David went to go ask Caleahl for a Burger King french fry when he saw him sitting at a lunch table with a couple of friends of his. They both shared very similar interests in video games, music and skateboarding cementing their friendship from that moment on. Not shocking at all the young lads found heavy motivation in song writing, but to whom it may shock being ina band wasn’t their first choice. They actually made their inauspicious debut as rappers! At the age of 14 years old the duo we’re known as “The Bucket Hat Boys”.
As time progressed though & Caleahl and David got a bit older they grew out of rapping and soon enough outta middle school. Now entering high school and stepping into a new campus after a huge global pandemic Caleahl and David were bound to meet new people and make some new friends. While David made plenty of new homies it was Caleahl who found now known lead guitarist Axel Aguilar & da drumma boy Gman! Caleahl added all current members into a Snapchat group chat and they all instantly clicked despite not all knowing each other in real life just through mutual connection. After all eventually meeting each other in real life it only brought them closer as a group and it was said in the same group chat brought up earlier that “we should start a band” & Violet Garden was born.
