Established in 2015, Violet Lens was started by lead vocalist Anna and guitarist/second lead Calvin after Calvin chanced upon Anna’s voice across independent Taiwanese music sharing platform Streetvoice. Entranced by her voice, they began making music together along with new band members Howl, Stan and Ron; blending their uniquely Eastern and Western influences into a new hybrid of indie music. Releasing EP <a href="spotify:album:2fgP1qFYiAcr4VhtECyIL0" data-name="Violet Lens">Violet Lens</a> in 2016 and debut album Heavenbird and Goldfish Grass <a href="spotify:album:2o0rgSGFRttoifjgRvLHde" data-name="天堂鳥與金魚草">天堂鳥與金魚草</a> in 2017, their Americana/Indie alternative/Taiwanese band sound renders them a unique niche offering in the Taiwanese music scene.
