Fueled by ramen, hot Cheetos, and wicked humor, this group creates R&B with hypnotic, macabre rhythms. The duo, performing under the names Violette (singer/songwriter) and Zayy Productions (producer), formed under Stax Music Academy's All-Star Lab, a mentoring program created by entertainment superstar Justin Timberlake. Meeting at Stax Music Academy, Violette discovered her alternative pop musings mingled perfectly with the more hip-hop-flavored R&B inflections of Xavier. Their musical influences range from AC/DC and Zaytoven to Aretha Franklin and Seventeen. They see themselves as pragmatic dreamers, boldly exploring while seeped in the historic relevance of their music city.
