Visual Art Department is a Miami based indie rock duo composed of musicians Diego A. Gamez and Sofia Soriano. The duo, currently signed to Dust Communion Records (dustcommunionrecords.com), first met in high school in 2017 but bonded almost two years later over their love for sad songs and black coffee. Gamez and Soriano began working together after a sporadic chain of Instagram direct messages and long nights spent in isolation bouncing song ideas back and forth.
