Vitantonio Gasparro

Born in 1998, he plays vibraphone, piano and drums. It achieves with honors the academic diplomas in "Percussion" and "Jazz Drums and Percussion", respectively at Ho the conservatory "N. Piccinni" of Bari with Luigi Morleo and in Matera at the conservatory "E. R. Duni" with M Bruno Astesana. Actually he studies Jazz with Attilio Troiano. He won numerous national and international competitions, including the “Premio Rosa Ponselle” Matera 2015, the “XIII Edition Italy Percussion Competition” 2015, the “Musica Giovani” 2016 of the Camerata Musicale Barese, the Critics and Audience Award in the Massimo Urbani 2023 International Competition, the First Prize at the Dexter Jazz Contest 2023. He has collaborated as a percussionist with several orchestras, including: orchestra of the Metropolitan City of Bari (directed by illustrious conductors including M°D. Oren, M°M. Billi, M°P. Silvestri), National Orchestra of Italian Conservatories (directed by M°E. Dindo, M°G. Grazioli and, on the occasion of the concerts at the Arena di Verona for the twenty-year career of the singer Elisa Toffoli, from M°A. Cadario). It also plays, in the 2019, 2020, 2021 editions of the Majatica Jazz Festival. He has attended master classes with leading international jazzists, including J.V. Ruller, D. Kikoski,C. Atti, U. Owens jr, G. Beloved. In the summer of 2022 he attended the 'Berklee at Umbria Jazz Clinics' in Perugia, where he was awarded the 'Outstanding Musicianship' awards.
