Joey Marrero (Voice Of Darkness) is a 19 year old producer and singer/songwriter from Northern Maine. Joey started making music at the age of 14, starting out with simple tunes that were never published. In 2022, Joey released his first song “Ocean Waves (ft. Diamond Mine)”
Joey is mostly known for his quirky tunes such as <a href="spotify:track:0owgamnNDCLhrwC9GDhHin" data-name="Goose Juice">Goose Juice</a> , <a href="spotify:track:6U7psrssAZAwac8KJRGhJ5" data-name="Voice Of Moisture">Voice Of Moisture</a>, and the fan favorite, <a href="spotify:track:6zc5xpMZORVGbhrsCOnKqR" data-name="Chicken On Chains">Chicken On Chains</a>. Yet when Joey isn't making silly songs like those, he's making music based on his own personal life experiences, such as <a href="spotify:track:1nfQBhyZxQSiPM9nahZoil" data-name="Hello">Hello</a> and <a href="spotify:track:52UgxllJkslkYxqiqgrUgj" data-name="A Castle Needs A King - Ayrix Remix">A Castle Needs A King - Ayrix Remix</a>
In 2023, Joey released his first album titled <a href="spotify:album:0dSI451BtsUBJB8xq13Vhz" data-name="Other World">Other World</a> which begins a story about a man who tries everything in his power to be loved. After the album released, Joey confirmed that his songs all connect to each other through hidden lore.
In 2024, Joey released <a href="spotify:track:5zvgxLcO2eZrp4PIijDziG" data-name="Pray 4 Me">Pray 4 Me</a> which touches on the bullying and harassment Joey has experienced, but also as well as the main character of the lore. Many songs in the album refer to finding God as a source for help.
Joey’s recently released his album "The Void" which was released as 4 parts, and is about the main character’s origin story and connects heavily to Joey’s own past. We learned more about the main character and his role in the future of Voice Of Darkness’ music.
Joey is building his own world through his music, and it’s got a cosmic story to tell. Stay tuned, as he has more in store for his viewers.
