Officially formed in 2020 by Avery Roy, Voidletter began as a solo project with its original recordings dating back to 2018.
Originally presenting itself as a metalcore project with progressive tendencies on their debut record <a href="spotify:album:4NqUX82FJEZn6cmyf7xPHD" data-name="Dawn">Dawn</a>, the outfit eventually evolved into more experimental and extreme territories with 2023’s <a href="spotify:album:7vRHyHhB9Lf4HbOEOjNMe0" data-name="Ail">Ail</a>.
In 2024, Voidletter’s time as a solo project ended and instead became a duo between Roy and long-time musician Rob Byus.
Using the metal genre as its foundation, the duo strive to create visceral and unpredictable musical experiences that challenge the expectations of modern music, but also welcomes in those who are willing to explore new and unfamiliar territories.
