Voltex is a Mexican DJ and producer from Monterrey, Nuevo León, known for his deep roots in underground house music. His sound effortlessly blends deep house, groove house, and soulful house, showcasing refined taste and continuous musical evolution.
His musical journey began in 2007, at just 12 years old, as DJ Skar at private parties, exploring deep house, trance, and progressive house from the 2000s. He also ventured into urban genres like tribal, reggaeton, and guaracha in local bars. By 2010, under the alias Tacama DJ, he was already performing in nightclubs with his electronic music project.
The year 2015 marked the launch of his current and definitive name: Voltex. With this change, his sound became more vibrant, focusing on underground house that navigated between classic, deep, and progressive styles. In 2018, he released his debut single, "Jausy," on streaming platforms. Afterward, Voltex dedicated himself to audio engineering and audiovisual production, taking a musical break.
His return to the electronic music scene was in 2022. He reconnected with his friend and colleague, Daxel, resulting in their collaboration "Hikkari." This track not only marked his return as a producer but also a new chapter. Currently, Voltex has over five singles and an EP available in all streaming platforms, continuing to captivate with his distinctive sound.
