A singer, composer and visual artist known for his magnificent orchestrations and new romantic pop elements, Marko von Konow is now moving in more of a band direction with his new single. In fact, Von Konow is now more of a band than the solo project of its front man.
Top names in the band include guitarist Timo Vikkula, bassist Teemu Soininen, drummer Ville Särmä, cellist Susanna Syrjäläinen and violinist Milena Törmi. The band swings with world-class style, lifting Marko von Konow’s songs into completely new spheres.
“I have found a tremendously inspirational band that understands the rock music timeline with amazing versatility. These musicians understand not only the rougher appeal, but also the art rock side and even progressive rock elements in my songs. Timo Vikkula is a long-time colleague whose ability on guitar and ear I always trust. The new recordings also demonstrate how the band's rhythm section played together already in the early 1990s,” says Marko von Konow, describing his new band.
