VONAMOR is a plant with deep roots and several tongues, growing in the land of avant-garde and contemporary electro music. An urban forest of sounds, where male and female voices are tangled to one another, chasing one another.
VONAMOR is a hot war of bass-lines and electronic beats, where saxophone and guitars battle one against the other, just to make peace a few seconds later. A sensual, dynamic rhythm inviting the listener to enter a visionary and cosmopolitan world.
VONAMOR, the fortunate mix between Giulia and Francesca Bottaro sisters and the post-rock duo made of Luca Guidobaldi and Francesco Bassoli, joined in 2016 in Rome, Italy, with the aim to communicate images, authoring scores for short movies (“Concetta”, for PAST FORWARD series, produced by Apulia Films; “Dalle rotaie al mare”, a documentary by La Testuggine; “Our Story”, animated short story created for the MigrArti project, winner of the Cartoons on the Bay '18 festival and showcased at Venezia Film Festival '18 and at Taichung International Animation Festival (TIAF) in Taiwan; “Il respiro della montagna”, trailer for an animated feature film). Then, the musicians shaped the current musical project, acquiring its fully contemporary and international taste and developing an allure made of literary echoes and of pop, imperious and enigmatic aesthetics.
A recherche du temps perdu between Thom Yorke and Lost in Translation, Kurt Vonnegut and Francesca Woodman, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Wings of Desire.
