Sicilian dialect author’s song, prog and contemporary classical, all with a decisive Mediterranean imprint. It’s the musical characteristic of the Vorianova, band
They are originally from Isnello. Their name comes from the word "voria" which means wind. A new wind in the dialect song that takes from traditions to blow elsewhere.
The musical career of Vorianova has been enriched in the years of awards and recognition, among which
2002 the Prize of the Critics of the Academy of Song of Sanremo, in 2004 the Best Award
Interpretation in Abruzzo in Festival, and again in 2006 the victory at the Song Festival of
Lercara Friddi, where they also win the Award for the Best Text. Later, in 2015, the
group wins the Prize Revelation Pollina Sète Sòis Sète Luas and in October of the same year
also wins the Siciliaterradamuri Award. In 2017 they are guests at the tenth edition of the Sciacca
Film Fest with their videoclip CUNTI DI VENTU. In 2020, they receive the AVI award from the Association
Italian Vinyl. Finally, in 2021, they won the Best Arrangement section of the Award
Botteghe d'Autore with the song A TIA CA NUN CI CRIDI.
Several albums released by the Vorianova during their musical career, UCCIA DI TERRA,
NUDANIMA, CUNTI DI VENTU ,PÀRTIRI, NARRÈ.
They also took part in the tribute to Rino Gaetano AD NOI PIACE RINO that has won the Targa Tenco 2021 in the category Album
project collective, interpreting the song COGLI LA MIA ROSA D'AMORE in Sicilian dialect.
