Starting fresh, Boston based duo 5oh8 have announced themselves and their new brand to the world. Formerly VOVIII, the once hybrid-trap duo took over YouTube and the gaming universe with their smash hit ‘Apache.’ The tune was later followed up by their Spinnin’ Release with Crossnaders ‘Pound That.’ However, despite the success stories it was years of an aspiring desire to alter their previously cemented sound and mispronunciation, that ultimately led the duo to uproot and begin again under a more recognizable name - 5oh8.
Upon announcement of the duo’s new identity, came a body of work under the freshly unveiled 5oh8 project. Their new EP entitled Two Worlds showcases the diversity and ability to not only produce across multiple genres, but to also seamlessly blend the sounds and cultures of two dynamically different worlds. As the rest of the year unfolds, 5oh8 have plenty in store as the duo being to lay the foundation and groundwork behind their new sound. All the while, fighting an uphill battle of once again standing out amongst the crowd, the duo continues to prove that despite their prior setbacks they are ready to take on whatever new challenge lies in front of them under their new identity.
