Pronounced “Assassin,” VSSVSSN is a multi-genre music producer and artist from Phoenix, Arizona, whose journey embodies resilience and passion.
Growing up in the tough neighborhoods of West Phoenix, including Maryvale, VSSVSSN faced significant hardships, including homelessness and brushes with the law starting at 14. Despite these challenges, he turned his life around, driven by his love for music and commitment to his daughters and family.
His music journey began at 15 with MTV Music Generator on a PlayStation. In high school, he attended Career Success, where he was introduced to Propellerhead Reason (now Reason Studios). Teaching himself music production with limited resources, he evolved from making humorous rap tracks to founding Kill House Records in 2008 and forming the horrorcore group The Unforgiven Assassins. The group achieved underground success, collaborating with Bloodstepp and performing with acts like Big Hoodoo and ABK.
Following the passing of group member Bigg Bricks in 2023, VSSVSSN transitioned mostly to EDM, blending his horrorcore roots with electronic beats. While he occasionally revisits rap, his focus now is on creating powerful, genre-bending EDM. Balancing work and music, VSSVSSN’s journey proves that even in the face of adversity, creativity prevails.
