Faced with a pandemic closing down every stage, Vulcan Nightclub found a way to bring the club to your living room...weekly live stream jam sessions. Thus, birthing a new art music catalog out of the ashes of 2020 and rising to reach their audience like never before.
Vulcan Nightclub’s music is created on the spot, in front of your eyes and ears. When the stage was off limits, the band began developing the tools to get their music out through high quality live stream performances. Writing new original material each week would be a tall order for most bands. But this is where Vulcan Nightclub thrives; live in the moment at hand.
With two producers, two Humber college jazz grads, three music teachers, and a robot whisperer among the 4 of them, there is no shortage of musical inspiration. Perhaps their greatest inspiration is their emphasis on communication through music in the moment. After the toils of 2020, and many live stream spontaneous jams, Vulcan Nightclub dropped their first EP, Anthropomorphize, on February 4th, 2021.
You might call Anthropomorphize fusion, prog rock, groove music, or experimental indie jam band, but no matter what the album is, it’s certainly a trip. You’ll relive the moments of communication and interactions between the players, tossing motifs back and forth on the fly, through this 3-track 30 min debut release.
Live long and prosper.
