Born in the bustling Indonesian capital of Jakarta, VVYND [pronounced: wind] evokes the city’s music scene to the previously untapped future soul & alternative R&B sound.
VVYND's debut single "Overload" has caught the attention of various notable media outlets including Rolling Stone Indonesia and Bandwagon Asia that described "Overload" as “a proper introduction - sultry, evocative and free of all the contrived elements of an R&B song”.
In 2023, VVYND dropped his long-awaited second single "Orbit" that received acclaims from various Asian and Indonesian outlets including Hypebeast, NME Asia, NYLON Manila, USS Feed, and Whiteboard Journal that referred VVYND as “a breath of fresh air for Indonesian R&B fans”.
VVYND was also featured on the back cover of Indonesia’s biggest daily newspaper Harian Kompas that describes “Orbit” as a song that “features a vocal performance that highlights VVYND’s unique vocal character”.
“Orbit” also receives support from notable radio stations in Asia including the Asian-syndicated radio show Asia Pop 40 and Indonesia’s biggest Top 40 station, Prambors, that describes VVYND’s falsetto as “always the best”. Singapore’s 987 FM also showed support for “Orbit”. “He has outdone himself, a great song,” said Avery Aloysius of 987 FM Singapore.
