With their debut album Svævende Dybder the copenhagen based experimental duo Vy explores interior and exterior landscapes; idyllic corn fields, small fores glades and the elements of nature along with the turbulent inner sceneries which occurred at the time when Viktor Dahl and Rasmus Mølberg Meyer recorded the album in Haderslev, March 2017.

With instrumental timbre as their starting point, Vy curiously challenges and explores the sonic potential of their instruments as well as their own personal relationship to one another.
They unfold a series of sonic images which comes together as a poetic and fragile narrative consisting of contrasting passages of intimacy and aggression, microsound and spherical textures, connected in a fusion of electronic and acoustic sound.

With Svævende Dybder, Vy has examined how improvised snapshots and an experimental approach to the recording-, production- and mix phase of an album can create the basis for sonic contrasts.

The album is mixed in collaboration with the danish producer Jens Ramon (Girls in Airports, Collider) and mastered by Taylor Deupree - the founder of the genre-defining american record label 12k.
