The music of Wabi Sabi and the Sweet Littles draws from 50s and 60s art rock and imbues harmonies and riffs that cater to a bubblegum sound. Sort of a Shannon and the Clams and Supertramp affair.
Sam Hernandez, the creator of Wabi Sabi, found early life inspiration from fantasy production. He had an admiration for artists like Jim Henson, Chris Noonan, Phil Nibbelink and Tim Burton. And as such, Sam's songwriting is marked by a lovable and unpredictable tone. Sam took to feverish song writing in 2016 and started working with small acts and solo projects. Writing and performing were strong forethoughts and he left his native Colorado for Austin, Texas in the summer of 2020.
Wabi Sabi and the Sweet Littles recorded their first singles with producer Sam Patlove in November 2024. Nile Walk, the band's debut single is set to release on Valentine's Day 2025.
