A lot of new-age electronic musicians create soundscapes despite hardly venturing outside of their bedrooms. The best however, are the ones who have experienced a bit of the world – and Melbourne producer Wabz AKA Nick Wuksta fits this bill. Having spent a number of years traveling around Australia - working in mines, remote airports, factories and in warehouses – he has developed his sound around the nomadic lifestyle he’s previously lead.
While tipping his hat to the history of uk garage, over many years of experimentation, Wabz has developed his own style of avant-garde influenced two step & garage. Sleep Less is one continuous piece of work. It demonstrates Wabz's development not only as a carefully intricate composer, but as a story-teller within the clubs of Melbourne. The mood shifts and swings from curiosity to frustration to aggression and all over again.
