Wade Sapp has come a long way from the swampy cow town of Okeechobee, FL. His
younger days were spent riding around in his grandpa’s pickup truck while listening to
classic country music and learning how to set trotlines and avoid water moccasins and
alligators. At the age of eight Wade’s family relocated to the suburb of Marietta, GA
which is just north of Atlanta. This change of pace, people, and the music around him helped shape Wade into the unique country artist he is today. In high school he drove a Chevy s10 pickup just like his grandpa’s, except the classic country coming from the speakers was mixed with rock, folk, soul, and blues records. As a result, Wade’s music is like a sweet tea-colored slow rolling river that flows from
Nashville to Atlanta and then on down to Lake Okeechobee. Sapp decided after years
of playing with his band at every country bar and songwriter club around Atlanta that it
was time to make the move to Music City and make a record. Since arriving in Nashville
in 2016, Wade independently released his debut album Radio Check which has
surpassed a million streams and is in regular rotation on SiriusXM and independent
stations around the world. He has toured the United States and abroad, opening shows
for the likes of Elizabeth Cook, Colter Wall, Morgan Wade, Brent Cobb, Ian Noe and
more. Wade Sapp has come a long way indeed and the road ahead is promising for this
rising star.
