Wait For Me (Kirk) is a Charleston based DJ/Producer by way of Boston where he dove head first into the Nu Disco & House scene on the beaches of Nantucket back in 2010. Inspired by the quality of production in this scene, Wait For Me chose to begin his production journey in 2011.
Through years of experimentation, Wait For Me found his sound centered around three main elements: a captivating/persistent bass groove, dynamic percussion, and a light-hearted approach to vocals/melody. Even with a defined sound, his deep roots in disco continue to inspire the majority of decisions Wait For Me makes in his productions.
In Charleston, Wait For Me is one of the founding members of The Holy Tech Collective; a self-starting, techno/tech-house/house movement supported by a passionate group of DJs & producers. From his skills as a professional development trainer & public speaker, Wait For Me has helped nearly every member of the group get into production by teaching small-form classes & private sessions.
For the future, Wait For Me sees nothing but a continued exploration of his sound. While he will always ground himself in his love for disco, he’s eager to create any music that makes the soul & body move.
