Waiting 4 April is an American rock band based in Dallas, Texas. Blending early 2000s emo influences with a modern edge, the band delivers emotionally charged, genre bending music that resonates with a wide audience. Before officially forming in the U.S., Waiting 4 April cut their teeth on international stages, launching their live career with a series of shows in South Africa. Originally from San Luis Obispo, California, Colton Ray relocated to Dallas in 2023 to pursue music full time. There, he met bassist Tyler Whiteley, and together they began building the lineup that would become Waiting 4 April. The band now features Colton Ray (vocals), Tyler Whiteley (bass), Jordan Modro (guitar), and Brett Bennett (drums).
With an expanding catalog and growing fanbase, Waiting 4 April continues to carve out a distinctive space in the modern rock scene fueled by authenticity, ambition, and an unwavering passion for their craft.
