Born and raised in Southern California, singer/songwriter Colyn Cameron, the mastermind behind bucolic, Pacific Northwest-based indie folk outfit Wake Owl, spent his formative years traveling the world, logging hours in the U.K., Germany, Chile, and Canada before heading back to the U.S. and laying down the groundwork for what would eventually become his debut EP under the moniker. The resulting Wild Country EP was issued in 2013 through <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Vagrant+Records%22">Vagrant Records</a>, and landed the group, which by this time was based out of Vancouver, British Columbia and included core member and multi-instrumentalist Aiden Briscall, a Juno nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
