CATHARTIC MUSIC SINCE 2007
Since 2007 WALK THROUGH FIRE have uncompromisingly expanded the boundaries of the doom/sludge metal genre. Their music uniquely blends the heavy, down-tuned and oppressive soundscapes of doom/sludge metal with the avantgarde of contemporary and classical music. A feat notably evident with
their performance at the Geiger X festival in Gothenburg 2016 where they interpreted five pieces of music by the composer Arvo Pärt.
From the black metal influenced mid-tempo doom of the debut album "Furthest From Heaven" and the musically pitch-black "Hope Is Misery" to the unrelenting dirges to life on “Vår Avgrund" and "Till Aska" — WALK THROUGH FIRE have always aimed to create cathartic musical experiences.
