Optimistic Human Being and Contemporary folk singer-songwriter Wamugunda from Nairobi, Kenya, hopes to make the world a hopeful and beautiful place one song at a time.
Wamugunda's pens tunes for everyday optimism as well as real life challenges—songs that resonate because they’re heartfelt,earthy, and offer wisdom culled from self-discovery.
His 2019 EP, Wamugunda EP, has been featured on Phat Buzz, Music in Africa and earned him a Cafe Ngoma Nomination for its blend of Folk, Folk rock and Kenyan Benga, while being free from any specific tradition.
He has an EP just released in 2021 titled Folk Tales and Other Short Stories. This EP is a compilation of short stories in song.
