Mohammed Alhamdan, known as Warchieff or Abu Hamdan is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. works across a variety of mediums and categories, including filmmaking, art, fashion, design, and music. In its investigation of khaleeji heritage and tradition, and how these impact upon modern culture, one of hamdan concerns is that of representation. Keenly aware of the increasing outside interest in Saudi and the Arabian Gulf, Alhamdan is keen to make sure the narrative around Arabian Gulf culture is told by khaleejis themselves, who can understand the nuances and the way that the heritage traditions connect – and do not connect – to contemporary behaviour in terms of mannerisms, and everyday practices. he also wrote, recorded and directed his first musical video; reaching +30M views on YouTube and featured in the global Netflix series Six Windows In The Desert . Warchieff always find ways to push the envelope to what it means to be a creative in this age. He’s currently working with the Saudi rapper Moayad and produced his track Bash Muhandis.
