Aphiwe Siphesihle Mnxati, known by his alter egos Warniing and "I Ate a God", is a genre-bending artist, songwriter, and producer from the Eastern Cape, South Africa. After relocating to Durban to live with his aunt, Aphiwe’s boundless imagination became his escape and creative fuel—he spent hours performing for imaginary crowds, already seeing himself as a superstar long before touching a stage.
His love for poetry sparked in primary school, eventually evolving into songwriting and performance. Known for his vivid lyricism and raw storytelling, Warniing carved his own lane in the music world. In 2020, he co-founded the dynamic collective Trvp Hive with fellow artist Teddy 031, pushing boundaries and releasing impactful work that blends emotion, grit, and innovation.
Warniing isn’t just making music—he’s on a mission to break records and rewrite the rules of the industry. With a name like "I Ate a God", he's not here to follow trends—he’s here to create them.
