WTF is WasabahawK?
Wasabahawk is a Rock Band based in Freiburg, Germany, made up of 4 people from North and South America: co-founding member Sebastian “Seba” Solar, Guitar and lead vocals, from Arica, Chile, Cristian “Hongo” Gutierrez, Bass, from Talca, Chile, Nicolas “Nico” Garcia, Rhythm Guitar and back-up vocals, from Santiago, Chile, and co-founding member Brett Hansen, Drums and backup vocals, from Minnesota, USA.
In August 2023, they recorded their first EP, titled, "Songs We Wrote Instead of Going To Therapy” which was released on December 2nd, 2023. The songs featured on the EP are political and critical, and take aim at topics such as War, Racism, Religion, and Sexism.
In the summer of 2024, WasabahawK recorded and released their first full-length album titled, “090224”. In November of 2024, Nico Garcia joined Wasabahawk as Rhythm Guitarist, making the formerly 3-man band a 4-man ensemble. Armed with motivation and ambition for 2025, the band aims to play as many shows as possible and record another EP.
