Hands in the air at a packed show in central Oregon,Wassla rips through the stage with lyricism and precision. His passion invigorates the audience to nod their heads, not just to the beat, but as if in agreement with his message. For Wassla, weaving rhymes together is easy, especially when the vision is to paint a picture of realism in hopes of connecting with those that will resonate with it.

Steven Allen (Wassla) was born in Klamath Falls, OR, descending from the Modoc and Yahooskin tribes. He grew up musically influenced by a diverse range of artists such as 2pac, Woodie, Brother Lynch Hung, Mac Dre, Nirvana, and Red-hot Chilli Peppers. Raised in an environment surrounded by realities that will numb most, Wassla refused to grow cold. It’s no surprise that he would later grip the mic to say, “Built to win and begin my penship is my only interest - sometimes clouded by the lies and ties of burning friendships - came a long way from nothing took a little hustle to amount to something - a Klamath youngin is loving it since he's emerged from the gutter.”
