From the dormant Mount Makiling at Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines, Bry, Fonzy, and Umbra formed the wave.painters in December 2022, later adding Gid by late May of 2025. Having been influenced by numerous local and international punk rock artists and bands, these punks united to create art and have fun during the process of making it which eventually crafted their signature, high energy sound.
